She just recently relocated from New York, where she was working as a registered nurse at Mount Sinai Hospital in the Cardiothoracic ICU with both adult and pediatric patients. She has extensive experience in the acute and intensive care settings, specializing in cardiology, cardiac surgery and advanced heart failure programs. She has a passion for treating cardiac patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
Kelley began her nursing career in the NICU at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital/Stanford University. She wanted to gain more experience with other patient populations and started working with pediatrics in the PICU. For 5 years, she worked as a traveling nursing in various hospitals and eventually landed in New York in the cardiothoracic ICU. While working there, she became extremely passionate about health promotion and prevention. She decided to focus her energy on becoming a nurse practitioner, with a goal of helping patients manage chronic diseases. Working collaboratively with the surgeons and cardiologists, she loves working with her patients and their families to ensure that their hospital stay is as good as possible.
Kelley utilizes a holistic approach, focusing on disease prevention through healthy lifestyle changes and patient empowerment that emphasizes the benefits of healthy choices and how an active lifestyle optimizes health. She actively listens and educates her patients and families to help them achieve their healthcare goals.
